MAKING CHRISTMAS BRIGHT

We’re expecting 350 families — with more than 900 children — to be blessed by the Gift of Love Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 13. This year's need is greater than ever, and we’re short on gifts. There’s still time to help lighten the burden of these families facing hardship, by dropping off a new, unwrapped gift at your Woodmen campus office by Tuesday, Dec. 9. We’ll even have cookies for you last-minute shoppers on Tuesday, to make the drop-off fun for the whole fam. Together we can help make Christmas brighter for our neighbors in need. NIGHT OF WORSHIP

Let’s lift up God’s name together! We gather on the second Wednesday each month at the Rockrimmon campus at 6:30 PM for a church-wide night of worship and prayer. Join us on December 10, as we proclaim the story of God’s rescuing love in song. In this Advent season, we’ll remind one another of who He is and what He’s done to bring us new life. As God’s people, we’ll listen to His voice and respond to His presence.

ABLE: Hope for the Future. Love for the City.

ABLE is fueling ministry and reducing debt. We’re less than one year into the giving initiative, and we’ve already received $2,900,000. Thanks to your generosity, we’re off to a solid start toward the $10,000,000, three-year goal.

We’re already seeing results! We’ve reduced our long-term debt. And thanks to your gifts, Woodmen Downtown is off to an amazing start. Attendance has doubled as more people experience the love of Jesus.

ABOVE AND BEYOND

Our year-end goal is to reach the $3,300,000 mark by December 31. And thanks to a few generous lead-gifts, we received $250,000 in just the few weeks. We’re less than $400,000 away from the goal! If we each do our part, we’ll get there together!

Hitting $3,300,000 by year-end will set the stage for phase 2 of renovations Downtown. Improvements in kids and students spaces are next up. And great things are still ahead for our downtown community, including a coffee shop to foster hope-filled conversations with friends and neighbors.

This month, will you prayerfully consider an above-and-beyond gift, as we give back to God for all He’s done? He is able, and we’re excited for the story He is writing through the people of Woodmen!

52 STORIES

Each of us has a story. This year, as a church community, we’re diving deep into the story of Jesus and how He changes our lives. We’re calling it a Year of Story, and we’re sharing 52 stories from the Woodmen community. In this week’s story, read how peace, for Davin, isn’t the absence of hardship. It’s the presence of gratitude, one day at a time.

Advent Calendar

Do you hate to wait? Whether it’s instant oatmeal, on-demand TV, we want it now. And the weeks leading up to Christmas only accelerate the pace of life. Yet the rhythm of real relationship with the God of eternity cannot be rushed. We hope you’ll join us on an advent calendar journey. It’s an invitation to slow down and center our hearts on Christ. In each weekly calendar, you’ll find a brief thought, song or video devotional for each day. As we wait in expectation, let our souls join the refrain of God’s people throughout the centuries proclaiming, “Come, Lord Jesus. Come.”
