PROMISE AND FULFILLMENT

This advent season, we’re exploring God’s Old Testament promises of a coming King, and how Jesus lived up to each promise in unexpected ways. On your way out of today’s service, in the atrium you’ll find a display of Promise Cards. We created these cards, each highlighting one of God’s encouraging promises, for you to take with you during December.

Pick out a few cards and reflect on them during the week. Let the words sink into your soul as you rest in God’s grace. The cards can also serve as invitations to Woodmen Christmas Eve services. Share cards with friends or family. Let them know you’d love to have them celebrate the love of Jesus with you this Christmas Eve.

YOUR SMILE CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

It takes hundreds of us serving together to welcome our community to celebrate what Jesus' birth on Christmas Eve. People will step through our doors carrying hurts, hopes and questions. You can make the difference in helping them experience the love of Jesus, by helping them feel at home or caring for kids. You can join a serving team to welcome our friends and neighbors into the celebration of hope! The biggest of need is for Ushers, there's a need for 12 ushers at each service! Our Usher team primarily helps light candles and collect offering. If you have a heart for the younger generation, Kids is another big area of need. Whatever serving team you sign up for, you will be equipped to serve well! Some Woodmen folks make attending one service and serving at another a holiday tradition. Many families serve together. Ready to join the fun?

Gift of Love

Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Gift of Love Celebration! Together, we made Christmas a little brighter for 1,400 family members by helping them choose gifts for one another, while sharing the love, kindness, and hope found in Christ. Whether you served, donated or perhaps you were on the receiving end this year as you and your family walk through a difficult season, we trust that God was in the midst of our time together. We pray that He continues to work in the hearts of all who experienced the Gift of Love this year.

CAMP FOR CHRISTMAS

Wondering what to get your middle or high school student for Christmas? Consider gifting them the opportunity to attend this year's Winter Camp! High school camp is coming up in February, and Middle Schoolers and 56 students get their turn in April. Winter camp makes a perfect Christmas gift, and we believe it will change the life of your student.

Christmas Offering: Sharing the Hope of Christ Around the Globe

Each year, we invite the people of Woodmen to participate in a special Christmas offering to benefit our trusted Global Partners. These organizations share the hope of Jesus across the world. Every dollar given at our Christmas Eve services will go out to meet needs and share God’s love in the nations. You can join in the generosity by giving online. We’re highlighting the work of two initiatives in this year’s offering:

OrphaNetwork: In collaboration with local churches in Central America, OrphaNetwork is providing nutritious meals and educational opportunities for children in need, and inviting them into the hope of Jesus.

Equipping Church Leaders in Ukraine: Talbot School of Theology partners with Kyiv Theological Seminary to offer theological education in Ukraine, equipping men and women to lead in their local churches. The hardships of war have only heightened the need for these faithful spiritual leaders, who are playing vital roles in advancing the gospel and meeting needs throughout Eastern Europe.

Give by December 27 to have your generous gift included in the Christmas offering, and partner in the work of God around the world.
