KIDS HOPE: CHANGE A CHILD’S LIFE

We’re excited about Kids Hope in Colorado Springs. The model is simple: A kind-hearted mentor invests one hour each week with one student. Kids in need are responding as they sense the care of a trusted adult. One local school told us they saw a student’s attendance approve week after week as she spent time with her mentor. In the coming year, we’re expanding Kids Hope and looking for more mentors ready to make a difference. Info meeting is coming up on July 16.

ACCESS FOR EVERYONE

At Woodmen, we believe that everybody should have the chance to come to church and learn about our Savior. If you have a loved one that has a disability or special needs, we’d love to support you through our Access ministry! Access is a way for our team to come alongside you as a spiritual support for both you and your family members in a tangible way. We offer shadows who connect one on one with your loved one during programs, classes for both kiddos and adults, and “Parent’s Night Out” which provides childcare while you go on a date, or run errands! CHRISTMAS IN JULY

We’re celebrating Christmas a little early this year with Christmas in July! It’s a great chance to make a difference in the lives of local families—months before the holiday season even begins. All you need to do is bring a new, unopened gift for a child, teen or adult and drop it off in the Feeding Families bin at your campus during services on July 19–20 and July 26–27. These gifts will be shared with families in need during our annual Gift of Love Celebration in December. Let’s come together to give generously, share hope and show the love of Jesus—no matter the season.

ABLE: Hope for the Future. Love for the City.

The next three years are pivotal for our church family and the kingdom impact God is calling us to make. The ABLE initiative is well underway, and we’re excited to keep moving forward together into the bright future He has in store. We’re seeing increased ministry impact in two key ways: we’ve opened the doors to Woodmen Downtown — a church in the heart of the community where God has planted us — and now we’re focused on eliminating all Woodmen debt, maximizing our financial stewardship and freeing us to fully pursue our mission of loving well and changing lives through Christ.
