Prayer is a core part of who we are as a church community! With the week of June 24 – 30 being our next week of sabbath, we’ll intentionally press pause on all mid-week events except one: Join us for a special all-church Night of Prayer and Worship as we gather to center our hearts on Christ. In the midst of the fast pace that surrounds us in our day-to-day life, come anticipating a reverent and powerful evening as we give glory to Christ together through prayer and song. 6:30 PM, Wednesday, June 26, at the Woodmen Heights campus.

Summer is the perfect time to meet up with a Woodmen Connect Group! These casual groups come together around a shared interest—no big commitment or homework, just a spot to have fun and maybe make a like-minded friend or two. There are groups for outdoor folks: hikers, golfers, runners and climbers. You’ll also find groups centered around step-families, widows, folks new to America, or parents and kids ready to play at the park. Check out all the options and find your group by clicking below!

Did you know Woodmen offers internships and a leadership residency? We’re coming alongside college students and recent grads who are ready to be equipped with leadership courses, mentorship and ministry experience. Students choose from two pathways: Residents spend nine months serving, leading and discerning where God wants to use them next. Interns spend their summer developing skills and bringing their talents and energy to Woodmen. Right now interns from across the USA are ministering at every campus and around our city. Will you join us in praying that the Lord will draw them closer to Him as they serve this summer?

We want to be a church that loves well in our community, and around the world. Our friends from ELIC, one of our trusted global partners, are serving to bring hope and provide education in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Will you pray for their teams living and caring for neighbors in difficult environments? To find out more about ELIC’s work and how you might get involved, click below.

Kids are a big deal at Woodmen. Boys and girls are learning the truth of God’s love every week. With all these kiddos singing, praying, growing and having fun, there are lots of openings for grownups to lead the way. With summer on the way, many of our regular Kids ministry partners will be traveling. Would you consider serving three weekends this summer? Whether you’re a student, a grandpa, a young adult or a mom, a smile and a kind word from a caring adult can make a kid’s day—or change their future! In the spirit of our Sabbath Year, we’re reimagining Kid’s Summer Day Camp for 2024. Instead of a big, on-campus event, parents and kids will have the opportunity to share the hope of Christ with friends and neighbors through hosting their very own Backyard Summer Camp. With minimal prep time, easy-to-follow instructions and step-by-step videos, this free camp is designed for families to share with friends at home.

Families will receive all the digital content to host a camp whenever and wherever they choose. You can customize the experience to meet your needs: follow the suggested three-day format, complete the camp in one to two days, or just use it as a starting point to get your wheels turning. This could be a great opportunity for neighbors to host a camp together or for grandparents to share God’s love with the next generation!

We’re excited about the ways God will move as kids in backyards across our city discover God’s love in wonderful ways!
