MINISTRY FAIR

As fall kicks into gear, it’s the perfect time to step into a new group, or maybe step up to a serving team. That’s why we’re excited to host a ministry fair right after services on the weekends of August 10 and 11 and August 17 and 18. You’ll have the opportunity to check out all kinds of small groups, where you can grow your faith and meet some new friends. You can also explore options to use your gifts to God’s glory and to serve others.

And we understand that ministry isn’t limited to our campus, many of you are already serving out in the community—whether you’re coaching a sports team or leading a business or providing medical care. And if that’s you, we’d love to see you at the Ministry Fair as well. We believe God calls us to redeem the places where we live, work and play, and we want to hear about how you’re being salt and light, so we can pray with you and look for ways to encourage you. ACCESS FOR EVERYONE

At Woodmen, we believe that everybody should have the chance to come to church and learn about our Savior. If you have a loved one that has a disability or special needs, we’d love to support you through our Access ministry! Access is a way for our team to come alongside you as a spiritual support for both you and your family members in a tangible way. We offer shadows who connect one on one with your loved one during programs, classes for both kiddos and adults, and “Parent’s Night Out” which provides childcare while you go on a date, or run errands! BECOME A COMMUNITY GROUP LEADER

Community Groups are a vital part of who we are as a church and how we build relationships and grow closer to Christ. Have you thought about leading a group? In the year ahead, we’re expecting more than 5,000 people to engage in small groups at Woodmen. And with more people looking for a place to belong, we have openings for Community Group leaders this fall! Lives are being changed as men and women commit to community. You don’t have to have a particular set of skills. We’ll provide you with the resources and coaching you need. Now is a great time to step up and lead and strengthen others in their faith.

FEEDING FAMILIES

As a church community, we’re committed to meeting needs in the city where God has planted us. The food we provide through our Feeding Families initiative is making tasty meals and healthy snacks each week for more than 200 local families facing food insecurity. Our shelves are running low this month and you can make a difference by dropping off non-perishable food items in the Feeding Families bin at your campus, or you can order through Amazon and have items delivered directly to our pantry. Find all the info, including the list of most-needed items, click below!

MAKE A CONNECTION

Summer is the perfect time to meet up with a Woodmen Connect Group! These casual groups come together around a shared interest—no big commitment or homework, just a spot to have fun and maybe make a like-minded friend or two. There are groups for outdoor folks: hikers, golfers, runners and climbers. You’ll also find groups centered around step-families, widows, folks new to America, or parents and kids ready to play at the park. Check out all the options and find your group by clicking below!
