Woodmen Worship Covenant
As a member of the Woodmen Worship Team, you are a worship leader. Whether you are a musician, vocalist or interpreter, your role on stage is to lead our church family in worshipping God. This role does require that you not only have a personal relationship with God, but that you live a life that exalts Christ and loves others well. As a leader on the Woodmen Worship Team, we ask that you commit to uphold the statements below:
- I agree with the doctrine and overall vision of Woodmen Valley Chapel.
- I am committed to being an active part of the body of Christ at Woodmen Valley Chapel and fully participating in its weekly worship gatherings. I will support my church with my prayers, resources, tithes and offerings.
- I am committed to maintaining a godly lifestyle that is rooted in prayer, fellowship and the study of God’s Word. I refrain from those things that might cause the Holy Spirit to grieve and others to stumble such as profanity, illegal drugs or marijuana, pornography, sexual immorality and drunkenness.
- I am committed to maintaining an attitude of compassion, grace and love to all people both inside and outside of our church.
- I support and am willing to submit to authority, including the staff and elders of Woodmen Valley Chapel.
- I will focus on Jesus and the essential issues of our faith as the priority of weekend services. I commit to serve with an attitude of grace, love, patience and humility. When faced with personal offenses, conflicts or the sins of others I will resolve them in a biblical and timely manner.
- I will dress in a way that does not visually distract others from worship. I will do my best to communicate respect for God and my church family by dressing in clothes that are modest, tasteful and unflashy. For all Worship Team Members at Woodmen, we ask that while you are on stage you avoid wearing shorts, dresses/skirts above the knee, large logos, low-cut or sleeveless shirts, loud patterns/colors, rips in pants above the knee, or crop tops.
