Zambia 2024 - Day 8

Today was pretty cool. Rhett and Cassidy made some scrumptious omelets while we woke up and listened to Jesse’s devotion on 2 Corinthians 12:9. We then headed straight to Chaminuka for our Safari! We saw Giraffes, Lions, Cheetahs, Monkeys, Antelope, and even a little warthog! Then we got to boat onto the lake and enjoy a cake while celebrating Lillian’s birthday! After cake, we shared Bible Verses and rhymed with a Christian Zambian rapper Trevor Tee4 who also is a nurse at Cure. Following the lake cruise, we got to go fishing, unfortunately, the weren’t biting, but we still had fun! By noon we were starving so we headed to the Chaminuka buffet for an amazing lunch. Leaving the Safari we were all pooped and took some amazing naps. Turns out one of us sleeps with our eyes open🫣.

We got back and got to keep playing with kids in the Ward. Meanwhile I got the opportunity to teach guitar and the song Promises by Maverick City to my friend Chile(our driver). Payten and Maggie made some delicious grilled cheese. We then followed with our paper plate awards and testimonies. Overall, it was a wonderful day enjoying God's creation and each others company on our last real day!
