Zambia 2024 - Day 4

Our first day at the hospital! We woke up this morning and had “papes” (a combination of both pancakes and crapes) and we were off on our day. We each split into groups and participated in the staff devotionals in the morning and from there we divided to complete the morning tasks. Payten and Jesse had the opportunity to scrub in and watch a surgery with the orthosurgeon. Noah and Maggie spent time coloring and making balloon animals in the waiting room. Rhett and Karli helped in the kitchen and served the food. Ella and Cassidy assisted in the laundry room and completed a couple of tasks. Lastly, Quinn and I had a wonderful but stretching experience in the chapel praying over families and patients. From there we all gathers and got to enjoy a good Zambian lunch with shema and the meat sauce our own Karli made. Afterwards, we had more ministry time with the kids and performed several songs and two skits and we did some crafts as well! We concluded the night with a meal made by the kitchen staff here at Cure! We are excited to see what the rest of the week holds!
