Mexico June 2019 Day 5

Our team started the day with Grace’s devotional about Psalm 100, which taught us about serving with praise and gratitude. After that, we drove to the ranch and split into 2 teams, one making bricks and another building a retaining wall for a new soccer field. At 1:00 pm, we left the ranch for a delicious lunch made by the cook Maria and some of our team members. We followed up lunch with free time and a meeting where the leaders gave exhortation and encouragement. Later in the afternoon, we did many activities with the children at the home. For example, we played with a parachute, enjoyed basketball and baseball, and painted fingernails. Some of the kids wanted to paint our nails too! Everyone had a blast. After dinner, we went to the chapel to worship and process our day. Bill and Tammy, the couple who cares for the children, shared their incredible stories as well. God definitely used our team in a powerful way to connect with and serve the children and adults we encountered.
