El Salvador May 2019 Day 5

The highlight of Wednesday was the opportunity for our group to have dinner with two young people who are nearing graduation from the Compassion project. The young man, Kevin, and woman, Gaby, shared with the team about their experiences being in the project and the impact it has had in their lives. Both are impressive young people who are giving back to the younger ones in their project and church. Kevin is involved in the bakery workshop at the project, which allows him to produce and sell goods and earn some money to put toward his college education. Gaby helps make perfume and jewelry, which also goes toward paying for her college fees. Kevin has a dream to be a doctor, while Gaby is pursuing a degree in law. What stood out to many of us is that the Compassion project helped them learn to dream and dream big! We know God is going to great things through their lives as they continue to pursue their dreams as they pursue Him.
