HS Estonia - English Camp - July 12th

This morning started off with our daily team meeting with both the Estonian and American leaders. Ellie led the devotional and gave us encouragement for the upcoming day by reading from Psalm 1. Hayden (Josiah Venture) told us some discouragement about spiritual warfare. Then we went to breakfast which consisted of the delightful pancake which tasted like a crepe. Breakfast also consisted of fruit juice, various jams, and a smoothie. One of the campers ate his smoothie with some chopsticks. We did some fun games to help them learn English and listened to a powerful message lead by Bronner (he slayed). We then had lunch and after we went to the playground and did some swing dancing plus some dangerous activities on the equipment. Bronner did a cartwheel with Rhett which was impressive considering Rhett is like 5 inches taller.

Desperate times call for desperate measures while preparing for the afternoon environment. Rachel and Branchley (Brendon) filled up water balloons and since no one could get a hold of the building staff with a key to the spigot, they filled the balloons in the sink with use of masking tape. There were cute pink balloons and cute small balloons too. We then played a game where Milt gave us a letter of the alphabet and all of us had to come up with words that began with it or we would be squirted with a water balloon. Bronner high key chucked water balloons very hard but that’s ok. Then we all chucked water balloons at Milt and dumped water on him. After that we went to a lake to swim. We caught little guppies and Bronner picked up a dead fish that was chopped in half :( Then he chucked it back into the lake. Ellie beat everyone at spike ball while Kendall and Shelly napped in the sun. Rhett kept jumping into the lake, making everyone (Kendall) nervous because the lake was shallow. Then we headed back to camp and had some free time before dinner.

Dinner consisted of scalloped potatoes, cookies, and salad. It was so scrumptious. We all had good conversations and laughs at dinner. Then we all headed back and did a Prayer Walk with just camp leaders. Next was the main sessions consisting of wonderful worship music and a good sermon connecting all of the ideas we’ve talked about this week. After, we led campers through the Prayer Walk.

Through this prayer walk, we had THREE campers come to faith (woot woot) which is so incredibly exciting and such amazing miracle. The Holy Spirit had a great prescience and many of us got goosebumps, cried with joy, laughed through happy tears, and felt an overwhelming warmth. We all got to spend such meaningful time with God and the campers, making many new memories. This was honestly one of the coolest most awesome experiences we have ever had. There was so much joy, passion, love, and support in that room. Worship music filled the room, all the voices being raised in praise of the Lord.

After, we had pancakes, banana milk, Rhett and Kendall ate prank salted garlic bread, and Ethan and Misha had too much coffee (scary). There was a lot of shenanigans, deep conversations, stories, testimonies, and goofy jokes at this point. We all had fun and were filled with light and joy. The Americans (TM) are now currently debriefing (this meeting has been going on for two hours and we’re all enjoying it) as we write this.Throughout this day there was plenty of spiritual warfare whether it be dreams, interruptions, outside noise, or random teenage Estonians roaming outside. But overall, there was way more good than evil due to the doings of God :)
