Guatemala College update #4

We started out this morning with practicing our skit for VBS day 2. One of our team members prayed over us for God to show us something today and challenged us to see how He was at work in everything today. 

For VBS today I got to work with the 2nd grade kids in crafts. They were all so engaging and wanting to do the crafts and talk to us, and their willingness to learn and hear from us is fantastic! 

This afternoon we went on our home visits! The community here is so welcoming and wanted to tell us about their family. In my group’s last home visit, the family invited us to have coffee and bread and wanted us to stay and talk with them. What God showed me today is that these families that maybe do not have as much as we do are blessed with generosity. They are still willing to give us what they have and they have very giving hearts. God has provided me and others on our team with so much, and yet we are sometimes less generous than these families that just want to make us feel so welcome. 

God is blessing us with the opportunity to learn so much from the community as well as being able to reach them in new ways!
