Estonia #2

We have been warmly welcomed by our Estonian hosts.  Our team quickly felt at home in this wonderful country.  After a uneventful flight to Tallinn, we quickly settled into our hotel and enjoyed a beautiful walk through the Tallinn Hall Square.  The next day we journeyed to Tartu where we will be spending the remainder of our time while in Estonia.  We will partner with CRU as we seek to reach out to local university students.  The University of Tartu is home to around 15,000 under-graduate students from all over the region.  Many of these students do not have a relationship with Jesus.  We are here over the university “Student Days.”  While the students still have class, it is a time that the university sets aside to provide intentional activities for the students.  Starting on Monday, we will pair up with Estonian CRU staff member to prepare for interacting with students and help them connect to the local ministry.  Of course, we are praying that the end result is that these students come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The last couple of days have been a time of preparation for our team as we have learned more about the local area, each other, and the Estonian CRU staff.  Yesterday, we spent some time sharing about what we have been praying for while on this trip.  Our heart is that we will have the courage to step into intentional conversations with all those that we come across and not shy away from connecting with others.  We shared that this is our heart whether we are in Tartu, Estonia or Colorado Springs.  Perhaps even as you read this, you know there could be someone in your office, your street, your class that the Lord is leading you to walk towards and connect with.  We are praying that for you as we trust you are praying for us.
