The Bible is God's Word. How incredible! Yet how often do you start reading only to find yourself a few minutes later confused, bored, or uncertain of what to do with it? Grab any other book off your bookshelf and odds are, it'll feel more readable than your Bible. If you're honest, have you given up on reading the Bible? Do you struggle to enjoy it?

If your relationship with the Bible is beset by unmet expectations, you're not alone.

In this one-night class, we'll hit the reset button and go back to square one to answer important questions like...

  • What is the Bible?
  • How is the Bible designed and what should we make of all the chapters and verses?
  • What are we supposed to do with the Bible when reading it?
  • How can we read the Bible for all its worth?
  • How do we apply the Bible?

As it turns out, you and I are invited into a rich relationship with the Bible. Like Edmund, Lucy and Eustace in the beginning of, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, we are hurled into redemption's unfinished story. We read the Bible, not merely to gain knowledge, but to live. But what does it look like to improvise in the drama of New Creation? That's where we'll go in this discussion.

This class relies on Alex Goodwin's book entitled, the Bible Reset: Simple Breakthroughs to Make Scripture Come Alive. You're invited, though not required, to read the book ahead of time. Q&A will following the class teaching.
