As a Woodmen Kids Hope USA trained mentor, you'll spend one hour each week during the school day with a student — playing games, coloring, reading books, and talking. While you may complete some basic academic work, the focus of this time together is on building a meaningful relationship.
Drop non-perishable food donations in campus Feeding Families bins, or sign up to pack and distribute food bags weekly to families in need from our school and community partners.
Serve our school and community partners at summer celebrations, volunteer appreciation and back-to-school events as you load supplies, transport the grill, cook and serve meals.
Serve our community partners and schools by sprucing up landscaping, painting, decorating classroom doors, assembling furniture, organizing food pantries, and more.
Love on low-income senior adults through monthly food bags, home-cooked meals, games and compassion-filled conversation.
Support neighbors in need each year by donating non- perishable food and grocery gift cards for Thanksgiving Baskets, purchasing new gifts for the Gift of Love Celebration or signing up to help at the events.
ACTS partners with local organizations including Crossfire Ministries, Safe Families, Tri- Lakes Cares, Freshstart, Mercy’s Gate, Springs Rescue Mission, Life Network, Family Life Services and Care Portal.
