Philippines Day 3

Hello!

Today was our first full day of ministry at CURE Hospital, and it was filled with so many sweet moments! I’m writing this little post with a face that’s sore from smiling and a voice that’s nearly gone from singing and laughing all day. 🥹

Today, I was reunited with the sweet staff I love so dearly, and our team has already gotten to experience that same love for them, too!

We started the day with a devotional alongside the Spiritual Department and sang Goodness of God. I feel like it set the tone for a day centered on bringing God all the glory. The staff reminded us that serving these children and families isn’t about bringing glory to ourselves or even to them, but about pointing people to Christ. We are simply instruments that He so graciously chooses to use for His Kingdom.

Throughout the day, we got to love on kiddos in the orthopedic clinics and on the ward, and our hearts are so full. One woman I spoke with on the ward shared that she had heard us singing Way Maker upstairs and felt it was a sign from God to start coming back to church. 🥹

Moments like these remind me that God can use both the big and little things we do, often in ways we may never fully see. What might feel like a simple song to us can be exactly what someone needs to hear. We get to plant seeds, love people where they are, and trust Him to continue pursuing their hearts.

We couldn’t be more excited to head back to the hospital and the rest homes tomorrow! Praying for more opportunities to love well, serve faithfully, and point every person we meet back to Jesus. 🤍
