Tulsa - July 2026 - Day 6

After a breakfast of sausage and eggs, we had a morning devotional lead by one of the students, Josiah, which was amazing. He talked about how we should be prepared for facing trials that will come up when we’re back home. Then we prepared to leave for the Zoo.

At the Zoo under a bridge, we saw a lot of cute turtles and other animals. It was extremely hot and it started raining, then it got really humid. We got to walk through a lot of exhibits, including getting to see some elephants eating their lunch. After the Zoo, we went to get some shaved ice which was a tasty treat on such a hot day! Just what we needed.

Back at the church we were staying at, we had some free time and then had a dinner of pizza and any remaining food we bought. After dinner, we had a girl’s night, in which we did face masks and got to know each other better while the boys went to Scheels and hung out for a bit. Then we finished off the night with a short debrief and testimony time.

It was amazing to see all the different animals and beauty that God has created for us at the Zoo, and we are all so grateful that He has blessed us with such an amazing team, a roof over our heads, and beauty to admire at the Zoo and all around us. It’s been an amazing, rewarding, and life-changing week here in Tulsa and we’re looking forward to sharing more when we’re home tomorrow and in the weeks to come.

Thanks!
