Zambia 2026 Day 6
Hey guys today was another great day of work and ministry! We started are day off in devos with the staff then directly after headed out to do home visits. Cure has a system where they go to the homes of patients who have been discharged for a while and get to check up on them, so it was cool we got to tag along. The first home we visited we saw two brothers with the same condition- brittle bone- and their baby sister and older brother. We hung out and got to know them pretty well! Next we headed to one of there patients houses who just turned 18 and is now able to walk (low key miracle!) so it was cool to see the result of cures work and the follow up cure does post surgery. Then after lots of driving and good conversations with our amazing driver Chilli we got some pizza lunch. After lunch we went right back to the hospital to be with the kids. We had choir practice since we are leading staff chapel tomorrow and then while that was happening there was ward fellowship. That’s where Izzy shared her message about Luke 4 and having courage for healing and praying while trusting Gods plan. It went really well and a lot of people enjoyed it! After that the whole team got to go to the ward and then we split in groups so some of us were on the playground while others inside. Outside we played football (soccer) and then played on the playground with lots of kids! Inside we had people painting moms nails, having hair braided and lost and lots of balloons being thrown around! We had some kids ask to be prayed over which was super amazing! This was such a fun time and great to see their community! After all that we headed to the guest house had some good time as team and worship and dinner and doing debrief! Thanks for reading love and miss you all hope you’re doing well, thanks for all your prayers! 🤍
