Estonia 26 (TAFT Camp) Day 4
We enjoyed a day of getting to know the campers better and helping them discover a shared interest they could use as their talent for the variety show.
We began the day with devotions alongside the Colorado, California, and Estonian teams. It was a beautiful reminder of why we serve and why we feel called to missions. Breakfast was a traditional Estonian meal, complete with good coffee.
The Woodmen team led arts and crafts workshops in both the morning and afternoon. Campers made bracelets, keychains, and journaled together. Elisabet, the worship leader, also brought fabric so campers could create their own Bible covers. It was a fun time of teaching, talking, creating, and getting to know the campers on a deeper level.
After some time to rest and recharge, we gathered for dinner before the much-anticipated talent show. Each of the nine teams created a two-minute video based on the camp theme. The videos were incredibly creative and had everyone laughing.
Once the talent show ended, the campers thought it was finally time for bed...but that wasn't the case! Instead, we prepared for a late-night team competition in the forest. Each station challenged the teams to complete a different task and earn points.
At 12:45 a.m., Natalie and I headed to our station to wait for the teams. Despite our lack of sleep, we had so much fun challenging them to transport water from one container to another—without using their hands! The goal was to move as close to one kilogram of water as possible. The final team finished around 3:45 a.m., and we were back in our rooms and asleep by 4:15, only to wake up again at 9:00.
It was such a fun, exhausting, and unforgettable day. Throughout the day, our team had many meaningful conversations with campers about what they believe, and we were able to share our own testimonies. These campers are genuinely curious about Christ and eager to grow deeper in their faith. It has been a privilege to walk alongside them and see God at work in their lives.
