Zambia July 2026 Day 3

Hey everyone!! ok so today we woke up and got to go do devotionals in groups with the staff which was super cool we all divided into small groups around the hospital. Kirby, Zach, and I were with the administration team it was epic then everyone else was with ENT or the Board room. And then after that we got a tour of the entire hospital and we saw so many cool people in action. We got to meet all the staff and get a peek at what we’ll be helping with! Then after our tour we got straight to work! Some people helped make crutches and Sadie and I were with the laundry team and we got to iron things and wash windows and have great conversations with Mr. Robert and Matthew, they told us a lot about weather in Africa and their culture and we shared about Colorado and how insane our snow is. And then we had some people in the kitchen they made our lunch which was delish, it was sausage, rice, cabbage, salad, and shima which we actually tried to make as a team before we came but miserably failed so it was cool to have the real deal. Then right before lunch some of us got to hang out in the kids ward and play with the kiddos! We did face paint and they loved to paint on us and then we had balloons and some puzzle toys. I learned from Sadie how to make balloon animal dogs for the kids so that was cool getting to make them the dog they wanted, it was so so fun! So after we got to play and hang with the kids we had lunch and after that we left to go shopping! We went to some hut shops and got some cool things that are hand made, it was super fun, but now we’re heading back to the hospital. I’m making dinner for us and we are gonna have chicken and rice (thanks for reading this far lol this is a lot of words). But ya it’s been a super fun day. So far my favorite part was definitely getting to make ballon dogs and do face paint with the kids and get to play with them a bunch and just love on them! Anyway that’s it for now, unfortunately no new news about our team bags that are lost so please be praying we can get them to Zambia!! Yay thanks miss and love yall were having lots of fun! :D -Izzy B
