Zambia July Day 2

Hello family and friends! After countless of flight changes, close calls, and 2 1/2 days of traveling we finally made it to Zambia at 2 am (our time). Spiritual warfare has definitely been accompanying us on our travels, that being said God has performed miracles. Our original flight from LAX to London got delayed so much we would miss all of our layovers. There were no available flights to go to Zambia, but after praying in the middle of the airport, one suddenly popped up! It was 100% Gods divine intervention. Unfortunately once we arrived to Zambia, we realized all of the bags we checked filled with candy, activities and games for the kids did not arrive to the airport. Tomorrow we start to interact with the kids and are currently trying to figure out our next steps. Prayers would be greatly appreciated! First thing this morning (2am) we got picked up by a friendly man who works for cure and he drove us about 40 minutes away to Cure hospital. People decided to crash asap and we woke up bright and early at 8 am to eat breakfast and get ready for church. Once arriving at the local Zambian church with three cure workers we got a friendly welcome and preformed a song (Goodness of God) in front of everyone. Once the sermon was done we gathered in a side room of the church eating shortbread cookies and drinking soda, while talking to a friendly woman who works for the church. We left around noon and headed to grab a quick bite to eat at a restaurant called 3 trees, most of us were non experimental and got chicken fingers or a cheeseburger. After finishing the food we headed back into the cure van and drove to a local art show in search for souvenirs. There were many vendors selling wooden animals, jewelry, clothing, silverware and much more. Once realizing the money we had exchanged is actually not valid in Africa anymore, we decided to go back tomorrow. We then headed to the supermarket (inside a mall) and picked up some groceries for all 10 of us to last the week (and some candy for the kids). As I'm writing this the team is playing taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza and we are planning on making dinner in the next couple of minutes. We are closing up our night with a debrief, devotion, and testimony accompanied by some African cookies and ice cream we bought at the store. Sending love to the US!
