Kenya July 26 - Day 1

It is currently 4:30am eastern time and our team just made it to a hotel in Long Island New York! After a 4pm scheduled arrival time to the Newark Airport, we arrived in Newark around 11:30pm. We spent a few hours on and off the plane in Cleveland Ohio, due to crazy weather in New Jersey, but we finally made it almost 8 hours later. Due to the delays and diverted flight, we ended up missing both connecting flights to Brussels and then Nairobi. Thankfully, we were able to get a direct flight out of JFK to Nairobi tomorrow at 1:45pm. In the mean time, we were having to track down our bags and then wait to receive them, due to them no longer needing to go to Brussels! It took lots of patience, grace, incredible help from United Airlines, unity, and prayer, but at 3:30am we finally received all our bags and were able to get free taxis, meal vouchers, and hotel rooms from United! We will be at the hotel for a total of 6 hours until we get back on the road to JFK to catch our next flight! The Lord has been so gracious and kind to us during this unexpected travel and He truly always provides. We can testify to that! Please keep praying for our team as we continue our travels to Kenya!
