Kenya July 26 - Day 2

Hello! Today we started our day at the lovely hotel that Katie was able to find for us last minute. After a few short hours of much needed sleep, we enjoyed a slow breakfast in the hotel lobby. When we finished that, we headed to JFK airport, where we had a direct flight to Nairobi. God blessed us with no delays for this flight, which was great for team spirits. We spent a long 13.5 hours on the plane. After we landed, our amazing hosts drove us to a little market where we were easily pressured into buying overpriced relics and nick nacks. It was fun to see the different art works and craftsmanship in this market. Then, we had a late lunch at a great place. We laughed and took pictures of Katie with her very large kabob that was on a little sword. The fruity drinks were fun and delicious. Though not much food was eaten, as many of us felt “carsick” without being in a car, it was a nice lunch. We drive through thick fog to a view point that overlooked where we were going to stay, and then headed to the guest house. We were all surprised on how beautiful this country really is. We spent the rest of the night playing card games, red light green light, and spending time together after a long 24 hours. So excited to see what God has next for us!
