Guatemala Day 6 (fun day)

The day had an early start with a 4:30 wake-up call😭. We awoke and began to prepare for the extreme trek ahead. We hiked 6.5 miles up a volcano, and were met by some incredible views and beautiful wild horses. Olive was on the hunt for the perfect picture but got a little too close… all our hearts skipped a beat when the horse charged and almost bit her ear off 👨🏻‍🌾👂😱. But the adventure didn’t end there… because a snake was in our path🐍🥨. We all narrowly avoided it with a few close calls, and we continued the exhausting trip down. The ups and downs and the twists and turns were all worth it because of the bonds and memories we made along the way.🟨🙈 we got to the bus and after we all shared a snickers bar, everyone fell asleep on the bus on our way to Antigua. Some of us drooled all over (👖) but we all survived without puking. After that we hit the market starting off strong with an incredible lunch of tacos that we were able to see being made right in front of us. With our belly’s full we hit the street to bargain and buy to our hearts content. All I’m going to say is some of us did better than others in negotiations… after we had our bags filled with goodies we headed to an amazing restaurant with a roof perfect for swing dancing and a beautiful view of the volcano’s exploding in the distance. We headed back home and had a quick devotional and debrief bc we were all genuinely so tired. We had a tearful goodbye to Josh and Jessica. And that was our day.
