Northern Cheyenne - Montana Team

Today was the first day of VBS, Sports Camp and the construction project. Our team is hosting a three day VBS at the local Mennonite church which is pastored by a local Cheyenne man.  We started with games with the kids and then did skits. Another local man came and helped lead us in singing Cheyenne songs about Jesus. The message today was about when the children welcomed Jesus to come to me. After the message, they beaded crafts and did more games and had a lunch. 

Sports camp started off small, but we anticipate more kids coming over the next few days. The kids are learning offensive and defensive football plays. Eben led a devotional and the kids ate a snack. 

The service project we started on today is working on building a covered porch for the Elton's sister. Elton is one of our faithful friends here in Lame Deer. 

Tonight, some of our other long-time friends came and  joined us for dinner. Afterwards, we sat around and talked and had a bonfire.
