Fort Collins Day 2

Hey guys! We had such a fun and full day today!

We started the morning by helping set up the church for the carnival that took place after the service. Church was especially exciting because it was Youth Takeover Sunday! The youth led worship and announcements, and our youth pastor, Andrew, shared a message about how God is our true reference point and how He always welcomes us back with open arms. After the service, we helped run the carnival for the community. There was a cake walk, bounce houses, cotton candy, a mechanical bull, a snow cone truck, and so many fun games. It was such a great time seeing everyone enjoy the afternoon together! After eating plenty of sugar, we helped tear everything down and immediately switched gears to prepare the church for VBS. We brought over many of the decorations from our Rockrimmon campus, and the church is looking amazing. For dinner, we grabbed Chipotle before heading back to the church to hear Pastor Andrew share his testimony. We also spent time talking about the ways we’ve already seen God working throughout this trip. One of the biggest blessings has been getting to meet new people, hear their stories, and build new friendships. We’re excited to see what God has in store for the rest of the week!
