ESTONIA April 2026 $1

Hello, Loved Ones,

The team has landed in Estonia! We spent our first day and a half in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, with Herman and Kristel Jurgens. It is an absolutely gorgeous city with an interesting mix of modernity and medieval architecture. We visited the Song Festival Grounds, a source of great national pride, as the small country of Estonia stood against Soviet oppression. As stunning as the capital city is, there were sobering moments as well, as we walked through the Memorial to the Victims of Communism, honoring the memory of tens of thousands of Estonians who were killed by the Soviets after World War II. It was a staggering reminder of the evil that humanity is capable of. But there is hope, and we are eager to worship with our Estonian brothers and sisters tomorrow, then to start our mission of encouragement. We can certainly relate to the Apostle's words to the church in Galatia:

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Gal 6:1-10)
