Mexico June 25 Day 6
Today I started my day very early because Micah and I got to go help prepare breakfast for the team with Nayeli and JP. Then afterwards I led some of the team in a short Bible study in Ephesians 4. Then Abby Kay led the whole group in our morning devotional. We then jumped straight into testimonies to finish up hearing every students story. After breakfast we departed to attend church in Arriaga. The experience there was amazing because it was very cool to worship in another language and experience church in a new culture. After church we took a short tour of the place, and then said our “¡Adios!” to the people we met there. Then we took off to lunch at the house where Bill and Tami first started their orphanage and kids school. The pollo (chicken) was so good.
After a really cool lesson and history about their mission in Mexico from Tami, we left to return to the camp to pack up and leave to Tuxtla. After a fairly long van ride we arrived at a very nice hotel we’ll spend the night and leave early tomorrow morning. We ate dinner at Dominos to help reintroduce American food into our systems after a week of amazing Mexican food. And now we are getting ready to head to bed so we can be ready for tomorrow’s long day.
This week I so was able to see how clearly God works in powerful ways, and He deepened my faith greatly through the tests and uncomfortable positions He placed us in. I am so blessed to be a part of Gods calling and I’m grateful that I could answer that calling through this trip. Overall I’d say we are all very tired, but also so content and happy with our experience here. This opportunity was life changing and I’m excited to see what God has planned for each of us here on out.
