Nicaragua 20s #4

Today the team went to Sunday church service at Verbo church in the community. We had the incredible opportunity to see and partake in their soul filled worship service and Andrew gave a wonderful message about true joy in Christ that is unwavering despite unfortunate and disappointing circumstances. While being in the community I felt a sense of joy and excitement fueled but the Holy spirit at work in these amazing people, so much passion and purpose in their worship and their presence. It was very eye opening to see, and a really good reminder of the power of a deep relationship with Christ.

After the service, we joined some of the Leon Church staff, and despite some language barriers we were able to have some really amazing conversations and laughs in the rain as it was pouring while we were waiting to eat lunch. After a delicious lunch, we explored some of the beach that had a beautiful view with rocks to climb and many powerful waves crashing against the sand. While looking at the encompassing oceans surrounding us It was a wonderful reminder of how vast the sea is and how amazingly it represents Gods vast love for us and how it can reach every corner of the world, and how powerful it moves even in the smallest breeze and most detailed moments in our lives.

We ended the day with a bus ride filled with laughs back to our hotel where we laughed some more over puppets and pizza. And then ended the night with a brave team member who shared their story with us, and a few more laughs before heading off to bed.
