Guatemala Day 2

We're officially starting Guatemala, serving day 3!! Yesterday was such a blast and it really feels like we're getting a hang of things!! I'm working with the Bible skit and Bible message group and we got to have the older kids yesterday at Cruz Blanca. They were super attentive and had great conversations with us. They also had the same pure joy that all the the little kids had. 

I got to share my message I wrote about the Great Commission with the older kids for the first time, and I was so nervous going into it. But these kids were paying attention the whole time and asked me great questions. I also got to learn how to do the church clap for the first time with Charity, Faith, Jana, and one of their groups!! Who was gonna tell me it's so fun?? I think my favorite part of the day was during lunch when half of our team was playing soccer in a circle with some of the little boys there, and the other half of our team was sitting on the grass with the little girls, teaching them bug noises. It was a beautifully sunny day and you could see the greenery of Guatemala in the background and it was filled with laughter. I haven't felt so pure joy and content in a very long time and I felt it yesterday. It was so amazing to see everyone bonding through laughter and activities with the language barrier. Today is gonna be our 4th day and I think the sleep is hitting us but we're still so excited!!
