Tulsa Day 2

Today we woke up and got to eat a delectable breakfast containing bagels and cereal. We made sandwiches for lunch and added some yummy snacks.

We got to the John 3:16 Missions to help with VBS. At first confusion flooded most of our minds until we got the rhythm of how things flowed and then it felt like a symphony of all of the team working together in unison. The goal was simple make the kids happy, help the teachers relax, and most importantly teaching them about JESUS!!! We all made connections with the kids early on and we our hoping to further those bonds throughout the rest of the week. After VBS we headed over to the John 3:16 Mission Shelter where we got to meet a bunch of the unhoused that are in a search for Christ. We got to hear a sermon from our very own Matt Florek and it was a amazing sermon. After that we got to eat some amazing food including some amazing chicken :)

We were given some insight into the lives of the people we were able to meet today and what they go through on a daily basis. Hearing those words made me feel so incredibly grateful for what I have in Colorado Springs! In conclusion today was a whirlwind of experience’s and it gave a lot of us our first glimpse into the lives of the people of Tulsa. Were all excited to go to bed and get some much needed sleep. Tomorrow we head to the John 3:16 Ranch and back to VBS!!! Good Night Everybody!!!! :)
