Hello Friends and Family,

We started our morning off with a yummy breakfast while we awaited our friends from CURE who would then walk with us to church. At church we experienced many new things including, Swahili worship and praise, the boys battalion (Similar to our Awanas but make it a marching band mixed with Boy Scouts), authentic Kenyan chai, and new friends. After the English service was over we spent time getting to know members of the church as well as had many conversations with the youth that were attending the following Swahili service.

We then walked back to the guest house where we ate a delicious lunch cooked by our lovely chef Christine. Then some of us had a bit of quite time followed by and intense game of poker which included gummy bear poker chips, while Elleigh took a two hour nap face down on the floor of he living room and Graham sat in silence. We then all headed out for a peaceful walk where we enjoyed the sights of the town, chased down a troop of baboons, saw many monkeys, Logan and Graham made fun of me (Elleigh) for my fear of birds (multiple times), watched a fun soccer game, and made more friends along the way.

Our evening then began by heading back to the guesthouse where we practiced the skits for the days ahead and sorted through all of the activities. Many of perfected our roles which included Moses, Noah, and an ostrich. We then ate our dinner and had many fun conversations filled with laughter. We then ended the night with an amazing time of worship and spiritual conversations.

We can’t wait for what is to come and to continue sharing with you all.
