Letter from Pastor Josh

Letter from Pastor Josh to the Rockrimmon Community

I woke up that Monday morning to a phone stacked with missed calls and voicemails. There had been a flood that essentially destroyed the lower level of the Rockrimmon Worship Center. Equipment, personal property and all that ministry space was gone. It was a total mess.

Of course the initial reaction was to rebuild and put things back to the way they were, but as we prayerfully processed what had happened, we felt God leading us to something new. Instead of just returning to what we had, we began to reimagine what our Rockrimmon campus could look like. We envisioned a place that was more family-friendly and easier for young moms and dads to navigate, a place that had more options for large groups of people to connect and a place that gave our students their own home. It was out of these dreams that the Partners in the Gospel Initiative was created.

It will take years, not months, for the entire plan to be completed, but this initial project will transform the lower level of the Worship Center into a welcoming space for our birth through kindergarten children, as well as give us a much needed gathering hub for community building. In the days ahead we are committed to not incurring any additional debt for the completion of this project, but instead invite you to partner with us to help transform this campus into an inviting and functional place of ministry for the future.

I encourage you to prayerfully consider what you find in the pages ahead and to ask yourself how you could, over and above your regular giving, contribute to the work. As you do, be confident that, “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” - Philippians 1:3-5

In Christ,
